Fall Collection Try Ons
Fall is never my favorite time to buy Lilly Pulitzer, unfortunately this seems to be the same sentiment by many. the fact of the matter is, most people live in areas that during winter wearing bright colors and print will get an eyebrow raised! I live in South Florida and just simply do not need anything heavier or long sleeved - ever! So Fall and Winter collections just are not "for me". I typically also do not enjoy the prints bc they try and do darker prints or often even busier prints that are just not attractive to me at all. i went to the Key West Lilly Pulitzer store, Boca Raton, and Disney Springs store for the try on photos below. Key West was very quiet and I was the only shopper for awhile so it was great! I could roam around unbothered and actually look at things. The staff was also very friendly. Boca Raton store is always hit or miss with how busy they will be, I try to go right when they open and before they get busy! But the Disney Springs store was my least favorite of the three to be at. Not only did they not have hardly anything in a L or XL+ in stock, but the store is very cramped and the staff is not friendly (at all!) I never know if this is because I am bigger and they "think" I wont be buying anything or if they just have really bad attitudes every time I am there in general. They only had a large in one of the tops and told me they only received 2 XLs in their shipment that morning and they have already sold (note to buyer, you need to buy more of what sells fast) #supplyanddemand. I have only ever bought 1x at the Disney Springs store because if the workers are snotty with me, I would just assume call my local store and have them hold it for me, or order it offline myself!
Nonetheless, I am here to do try on posts for all the Lilly lovers and shoppers out there so here we go!

It is SUPER comfy, flowy, and a great lounge dress!
I could have gotten an XL but in case this shrinks I wanted plenty of free flowing room, even while bloated (like today from eating carbs)
Of everything in the new release...this dress and the high waisted weekend shorts are my 2 favorite items.

This is the #lillypulitzer Luxletic Greer top with the Weekender high rise shorts both in print Turtle Szn and both I'm XL.
The print is beautiful, really vibrant in person. This top... is not for me. You cannot argue this against me 😆
It's tight across the chest and rides up and sits on top of my belly 😆
If you don't have a belly it may look perfect on you!

#LTKfit The shorts are an XL and the top is a XXL. The top is a CROP and it is also see through. Something I was not expecting. It is "cute" but Overall I liked the Green Etta top with these shorts the best. Yall know my "summer uniform" is #bikeshorts and an etta top from #lillypulitzer. I love the shorts and I'm glad I ordered them already. They do have a side pocket just fyi. I probably should have just gotten them in store bc watch they won't show up in time for my trip! bc lilly shipping is FOREVER SLOW!

This is the same Green Etta in a XXL I had on with the bike shorts paired with the Georgia May palazzo pants in an XL in print Mermaid for You. These pants feel like pajama pants but can literally go anywhere. I feel like my fall "uniform" is going to transition from etta and bike shorts to etta and palazzo pants!
These were a little long on me but I did really like them.

It was toooooo tight, basically everywhere. The chest, the sides, the stomach. This was a dress that should have been made in a stretchy material and not what this is. I was hot and sweating trying to get everything tried on as fast as possible... the This dress was clinging to me everywhere. It has a white underlining to it that I was trying to pull down and it was sticking and bunching up. This dress is not for my #plussize self!
If you don't have a larger chest or stomach that sticks out like mine...it will be lovely on you! But it's not for me

This is the Abigale Off the Shouler Midi dress in Print Resort White Time to Shine.
I was pleasantly surprised by this dress, the material was super soft, stretchy and very comfortable. This is an XL. You may even be able to size down in this dress. The length was great. I don't know how I feel about the bell sleeves, I have never been a huge fan of those. The off the shoulder can be true off the shoulder or pulled up on the shoulders slightly. Without the belt it looked like a Mumu. I was not a big fan of this print on me. The prints that run down the center like this make me feel like my stomachnis poking out that much more than it already does. This was a no for me... but I will give it some credit for how it felt on. Very soft!

This is the #lillypulitzer #Sloane maxi dress in print Baha Blue Bird Is the Word .
Obviously this bra would not cut it with wearing this dress.
I know I am about to burst some people's bubbles that were really excited for this dress but I don't really see the hype. It's very low cut and it has the sash under the chest that makes my stomach appear to poke out even more. I'm not a huge fan of the print even though I do like the blue. It is also very long. This is a size XL for reference.

This is the #Gianni skort romper in print Bermuda Blue Turtle Szn in an XL.
I loved the way this fit, how it flattered in all the right places, and most importantly the shorts underneath were comfy and not riding up!
The only thing I didn't like were the small "vents" on either side under the arms. Mainly bc... who needs to see my bra???
I liked the materialz I liked the fit, this should have come home with me today... but it didn't.

So let me first say I saw this on someone from another #lillypulitzer store on my IG feed, I thought maybe I had just missed a maxi dress somehow...and then I realized it was the top and skort COMBO!
well.... I don't know if you can tell from this photo, but the top was a completely different purple as the bottom 😒🥴😬🤨 The top was a brighter AND darker purple and the bottom was lighter but a few shades. It bothered me. I also didn't like how this fit my midsection in general BUT I did take the top home with me today to wear with some green crops I brought with me on my trip. I ALSO bought the Maleka Maxi in an XL in print Multi Tropical Punch bc well... my husband gave me HIS credit card and he waited outside (swipe to see him waiting, and waving outside the window like a creeper) 🤣🤣🤣
I tried to tell him to come in bc another husband was waiting and drinking but... he wasn't about that life.

This is tight around the stomach. Doesn't close at the chest. and you have to pull this whole thing on. You have to unbutton and wiggle your way out of this to go to the bathroom too. #hotmess
My daughter's Rompers fit better than this but again...I'm going to stick with my opinion of Rompers are for 2 and under (not potty trained) humans 🤣🤣😅
A little bit of good here, but ultimately I did not take it home.
The Alison dress in Print Formentera Turquoise Hot on the Spot in a size 16.
This fits exactly like the Boatylicious dress I love...but I did not like the length of this dress over the boatylicious midi version. This, for my height felt like a small gist of wind would be showing everyone...my everything!
There is still the built in cups in the chest, and the smocked area at the back of the dress to allow for some "give" in that area. That being said, it wad still very tight on me in the chest. To the point I was a uncomfortable. I also was just not a huge fan of this print. I think this would look great on someone younger... maybe half my age?
The #Zadie top on a Large, print You Grow Girl.
I needed an XL in this, and this was the top they said they received 2 XLs that morning and had sold them already. This is a very soft flowy material, comfy, but the chest was way too tight on me. I am also hesitant to get the XL blindly, bc sometimes there is not much difference between a L and XL in the "swing" tops and dresses IMO. The print is also great in person. Ultimately I instead blindly purchased the Collins tank dress that can be tied at the waist... or not.
The print though, in point in person!
There was not much in any of the stores I went to for Fall and even online most of the items say they will not be ready to ship until almost the END of August. So keep that in mind when you're shopping for these items online.
